Mayor Joe Lockwood has reluctantly accepted the resignation of City Manager Billy Beckett. Beckett, who has served as City Manager since April 30, 2008, will continue in his role as City Manager until Sept. 24. The City will immediately begin the process for selecting a new City Manager and anticipates that this process will include an interim manager. "Billy's resignation is not only a loss to me personally, but also to Council, City Staff and Milton citizens,” says Mayor Lockwood.
