Joe Lockwood
678.242.2484
Joe Lockwood is a local business owner, family man and community leader. For 17 years he has owned J.K. Lockwood Construction Company, a commercial construction company located in downtown Alpharetta. Active in senior services, Lockwood has owned a local assisted living facility since 1993.
Lockwood's professional experience is an asset in protecting the community from development pressures. Lockwood will safeguard Milton's small town, community and rural feel.
Lockwood's strong management and people skills will enable him to work together with city employees, the city council and outside experts. A proponent of smart, managed growth, Lockwood will ensure that development is a "win-win" for residents and developers by creatively planning to ensure the development serves existing residents.
Lockwood and his wife of 18 years, Dawn, have three children and, as a 25-year resident of north Fulton, Lockwood knows the importance of parks and structured recreation. He will maintain existing parks and will work to add more space as needed.
An active member of Birmingham United Methodist Church, Lockwood is on the board of trustees and chairs the building and development committee, which recently completed a new sanctuary and campus that beautifully compliments the surrounding area.
