The City of Milton is hosting the second annual Milton Roundup on Saturday, Sept. 13, from noon to 7:00 P.M. at Birmingham United Methodist Church. Parking and admission is free at this family-friendly event and the first 1,500 attendees will receive a complimentary event T-shirt.
The day will kick off with a classic car parade at 11:00 A.M. in front of the new Super Target on Highway 9. The parade will make its way to the Publix parking lot at Birmingham Crossroads and will feature a plethora of privately owned classic cars and a police escort.
Last year, more than 2,000 people attended the Milton Roundup, and even more are expected this year. Kids and adults alike will have the opportunity to ride a mechanical bull, enjoy pony and carriage rides, jump on jumbo inflatable rides, enjoy music for all ages including a performance by the Hopewell Middle School Orchestra, and more.
Food and beverages provided by local restaurants, civic groups and Milton Public Safety will be available for purchase throughout the day. There will also be a Milton Police and Fire Chili Cook-Off where onlookers can vote on their favorite team, and Milton’s K9 officers will be on hand for photos.
Plan to stay until the end when three hot air balloons will light up the sky. Visitors will have a chance to take tethered balloon rides from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
