Transportation Plan
The transportation plan will clearly define goals, needs and priorities for the City of Milton. Ultimately, it will seek to integrate the city's vision for maintaining its unique and rural attributes while providing for appropriate improvements to the transportation infrastructure.
To achieve this end, the plan will contain three key components. First, transportation planners will conduct an inventory of existing conditions – including the entire transportation network and level of service – with an emphasis on problem areas. Second, the needs of the county will be assessed to determine which existing transportation facilities are sufficient to support projected growth and what future improvements may be needed. Finally, based on the results of the inventory and needs assessment and in accordance with community goals identified during the public involvement process, an implementation program will propose recommendations.
